“Fui a Buenos Aires com Adaury Dantas. Na volta comecei a dirigir Senhorita de Tacna, de Vargas Llosa, para a estréia do Teatro de Arena.
As críticas? Não foram boas. Em geral ninguém gostou do Vargas Llosa, ninguém gostou do meu espetáculo. Não sei julgar muito bem Senhorita Tacna. Bom resultado sei que não foi, mas não ofendia o público presente. Havia aqui e ali alguns climas bem resolvidos, a cena de Tamara e Tereza era bonita, de uma intensidade que devia existir no resto do espetáculo. Tereza fazia muito bem sua cena como jovem noiva, contracenando com Marcos Wainberg, muitos momentos do Walmor, mas no todo o espetáculo não acontecia.
